About Winterfest

Every winter, hundreds of students from around northern Illinois and northwest Indiana gather together to be challenged and stretched in their faith. At Winterfest, students participate in one of several tracks to focus on specific areas of growth. Campus fellowships have times together to pray and share. The entire conference gathers together for whole group worship and prayer.

As people gather from different types of schools and backgrounds, we receive the blessings that a broader and more diverse Christian community can offer. Whether you have never believed in God or you have been in a spiritual journey with Jesus for years... there is something in store for you at Winterfest!

2010 Plenary Speaker

Jeff Griffin is senior pastor of The Chapel, a church with five campuses in Chicago's northern suburbs.

Raised in Arlington Heights, Jeff went to Wheaton College intending to become a doctor. Instead, God called Jeff into full-time ministry. While completing his M.Div. degree at Trinity, he met Scott Chapman. The two men and their families founded the Chapel in 1994.

Jeff is married to his high school sweetheart, Jennifer, and has three children (Jorah, Janai, and Jake), two of whom are adopted. He enjoys woodworking, skiing, and collecting old Christian books, but his true passions are his family and helping people fall in love with God. We hope you'll fall more in love with God through Jeff's speaking at Winterfest.

2010 Worship Leader

Andy Kim will be our worship leader for Winterfest 2010. Andy is campus staff at Northwestern University, where he serves as teacher, coach, mentor, servant, and all-around great guy for NU AAIV.

Andy led worship for Winterfest 2008 and also is a worship leader at New Community Covenant Church. He enjoys using food metaphors to describe his worship sets.

Costs

There are several conference packages:

• Early Bird Discount Package - $110 Available to students who register BEFORE December 24, 2009.
• Standard Package - $120 The standard student cost.
• Scholarship Package - $110 For those who honestly need a scholarship. To use this option, you need a coupon code given to you by your staff worker.
• "Help a Student” Package - $140 This package is for those willing to help support the cost of scholarships.
  

Note: $60 Registration Fee
A $60 non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee is required with your registration. This amount is included in the total cost of the package you select.

Additional Costs
Although not required, we encourage you to budget money for the following costs not included in the conference packages:

• Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday;
• Books (there will be a booktable with some great books at great prices);
• IFES offering - We will take an offering for one of our sister chapters in the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students.

Schedule

Plan on arriving at 6:00pm on Friday, February 19. Winterfest is officially over at 12:30pm on Sunday, February 21.

Location

Winterfest 2010 will be held at the Doubletree Hotel Chicago in Oak Brook, IL. Students will be housed four per room. Saturday's Lunch and Dinner are also included in the registration costs. For further information about the hotel, visit the hotel's website.
